Yes We Can is a sustainable safari in One Horizon’s Connect with Kenya portfolio of travel experiences. It’s four great days that create everlasting memories and unforgettable bonds as Kenyans and travellers come together and change each other’s lives. We guarantee three things with Yes We Can: Firstly you’ll genuinely connect with Kenyan communities as you immerse yourself in the day to day lives of the people who call them home. Secondly, you’ll gain intimate insights into Kenyan culture and traditions as we take you to places that tourists rarely experience. Thirdly, you’ll have a lot of fun. And finally, you’ll leave us saying ‘YES WE CAN’ solve poverty. Find out more by clicking on the link below …
One Horizon’s five day people safari, It’s All Possible, is a close up and unique look at the diversity of Kenya and the different communities that make up this magical country. At the heart of all this are the Kenyan people – innovative, inspiring and resilient. It’s All Possible is an amazing mix of connections as we visit grandmas and single mothers, who are setting themselves up as entrepreneurs so they can lead their families out of poverty, traditional Masai villagers and families.
Building new classrooms changes the lives of disadvantaged Kenyan children who come into One Horizon’s orbit. In many of our communities, parents either struggle to send their children to school or, in their despair, just give up. An education can be way down on the priority list, not because parents don’t value it, but simply because obtaining enough food takes every bit of money, effort and energy they have.
If you have a spare day in Nairobi and would like to give something back to our magical country, our One More Bite day safari is a great option. It’s a rare chance for you to become involved in forging change as you join the daily routine of a disadvantaged Kenyan community that’s stepping up and away from poverty. We say ‘rare’ because tourists usually don’t have a chance to connect with such communities. One Horizon however has a relationship with Nairobi City County, which allows us to take our sustainable programs – and our guests – into these communities.
What is it about One Horizon that attracts travellers from around the world? We think it’s simply the opportunity to connect with Kenya’s heartbeat – our amazing people. One Horizon’s humanitarian work with Kenyan communities and families offers a window for authentic insights and meaningful interactions between Kenyans and travellers. Genuine bonds form, there’s a sense that ‘we’re all in this together’, creating one bright horizon for all.
